Respondents were asked to provide the top 5 actions that could improved satisfaction in their organisation. Responses were coded and analysed, with the following being the top 5 requirements for improved satisfaction:
Senior Management buy-in/sponsorship (31%)
Having a skilled/professional Knowledge Manager (22%)
Staff understanding the importance of KM (15%)
Training and development of staff (14%)
Improved culture (6%)
When asked about the top 5 contributors to current dissatisfaction, respondents gave the following reasons in rank order:
Lack of KM awareness at a senior management level (21%)
Technology (20%)
Knowledge management increases workload (18%)
Lack of integration across the business - operating in silos (12%)
Poor communication of benefits (11%)
